This textile sculpture is made in sections and formed over various plastic shapes that were removed when enough stitching had been done to support the cloth. A great deal of stitching had to be done before the fabric was firm enough. Additions in the form of thin slivers of Welsh slate.
So many rock formations are composed of separate bits fused together. This piece reflects those qualities.
